Carol singing at Bromley and Richmond

Over the Christmas season our local supporters were busy raising funds to help support our vulnerable families. We had not one, but two Christmas carol events organised by local Friends groups!

On 18th December the Friends of our Richmond centre held a Christmas carol sing-a-long at the Anglers pub in Teddington. The atmosphere was lively and festive, helping to both raise funds for our Richmond service users and to increase the awareness of Welcare’s work. A fantastic total of £234.03 was raised from the evening. Thank you to all those who turned up to support Welcare’s work, and especially to Margaret Squire for organising the event and the Anglers Pub for hosting!

Carol singers in Bromley supporting Welcare

On 17th December, the Friends of our Bromley centre performed Christmas carols at the Intu Shopping Centre in Bromley’s town centre. For an hour and a half, 17 singers accompanied by a keyboard player kept the shoppers of Bromley entertained while they did their Christmas shopping! They managed to raise a great £142.99 to help support some of the children and families in need over the Christmas period. A big THANK YOU to the Friends of Welcare in Bromley for organising the event and those who went along to sing and shake collection buckets!
