Welcare is a Christian charity, founded in 1894 by the Bishop of Rochester, Randall Davidson and his wife Edith and we continue to work in partnership with others to support children and families in need.
Our work is rooted in Christian values and is greatly enriched by the voluntary support and prayers of individuals and parishes.
We are especially grateful for the steadfast support we receive from Anglican churches in Bromley, the Hampton area (north of the River Thames in the borough of Richmond upon Thames), and across the Diocese of Southwark.
We are honoured that Bishop Christopher, the Bishop of Southwark, serves as our President. We are also active members of the Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) group, the Diocese’s network for social action and social justice.
We are seeking to grow the prayerful support for our mission by regularly sharing prayer suggestions and expressions of thanks. While we will never share names or any personal details that could identify a child or family, we hope this initiative will help build a deeper connection with our work.
If you would like to receive our prayer suggestions in addition to the quarterly supporter eNewsletter, please sign up using the link below—and do feel free to share it with friends and family who may also wish to join us in prayer.
