Tribute to Alan Wiltcher

We would like to pay tribute to Alan Wiltcher who died in February, a few weeks short of his 90th birthday.

Alan has been a wonderful supporter of our work in the borough of Greenwich.  Charity and community were hugely important to Alan and he led his life with kindness and generosity.  Alan’s photographs were turned into greetings cards to raise money for our work, he opened his home and garden for lent lunches, parties and garden tours and he was instrumental both as a former trustee of Welcare in Greenwich and Friend of raising vital funds and awareness to continue our work with children and families in the borough.

We were touched that Alan’s family asked for donations to be sent to Welcare in his memory and to date we have received £1600 to support our work in the borough of Greenwich.  We will all miss Alan but take comfort that he had a long and happy family life and he lived to the full. He helped other people and is remembered by us all as an amazing Friend of Welcare.
