Welcome to Welcare Family Centre

Welcare in East Surrey aims to support families build resilience through safe, nurturing relationships that enhance emotional health and wellbeing and enable children to thrive.

We provide a welcoming and caring environment where staff work together with families and co-ordinate support working together with everyone who supports children, young people, and their families across a range of community support service.

The Welcare Family Centre in Redhill is run by Welcare on behalf of Surrey County Council and provides one-to-one family support and parenting programmes and focusses its resources on helping the families most in need of support. In addition to the Redhill Family Centre we work in partnership with YMCA East Surrey to provide Early Help for 0-19 year olds across the borough of Reigate and Banstead. We also deliver a range of practical and emotional support for children and families throughout East Surrey including weekly groups and the Families & Schools Together programme (FAST).

Welcare Family Centre

Welcare Family Centre in Redhill is one of four Family Centres working in partnership covering the borough of Reigate and Banstead to support the most vulnerable families with children aged 0-11. Our partner providers are YMCA Horley Family Centre, Epsom Downs Primary School and Furzefield Primary (Red Oak).

Referrals to this Level 3 service need to be made via the Surrey County Council C-SPA (Children’s Single Point of Access Team).  They will normally require you to complete a Surrey Children’s Services Support Request Form which can be emailed to cspa@surreycc.gov.uk. The telephone number for the C-SPA is 0300 470 9100. They are open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. The out of hours number is 01483 517898 (ask for the emergency duty team). Early Help Programme for 0-19 year olds

Helping Families Early and as soon as a problem emerges is one of the ways Welcare works with local partners to help children and families who need a little extra support.

The Early Help programme is for children and young people who fall into the category of Level 2 (Early Help) – see Effective Family Resilience Surrey document.

Welcare working with the YMCA (who are the lead provider) has been commissioned to deliver Early Help support to children and young people aged 0-19 years old. This service will respond to need through referrals from Surrey County Council Children’s Single Point of Access (C-SPA), schools, agencies, health, CAMHS, parents and self-referrals from young people.

The family and/or child will be assigned a Welcare or YMCA case worker, who will support them fill out a Child and Family Assessment or Early Help Assessment if this has not already been completed.

Group Work Programme

Welcare continues to offer charitably funded services for families living in East Surrey. These services are funded by support from local churches, charitable trusts and individual donations. We run a weekly programme of groups for parents and their under 5s to join.

There is no onsite parking at 24 Warwick Road. Limited free parking maybe available in bays in Warwick Road. We recommend the car parks in Sainsburys, The Belfry or Gloucester Road which are less than a 5 minute walk away.
