Thank you BBC Children in Need

BBC Children In Need has awarded us £104,351 over 3 years to fund the employment of a full-time Children’s Support Worker.

The role will focus on working with children and young people aged 8-13, delivering our MySpace group, and offering a weekly drop-in service and Summer Holiday Participation Programme from our centre on the Nightingale Estate in Woolwich.

This significant 3 year support, combined with our on-going fundraising has enabled us to begin recruitment for a new member of staff  to re-launch services for local children and families in the New Year. This exciting news is testament to our commitment of Welcare to the community we serve in south London. However, we will need to continue to work hard to generate additional funds to enable us to work with the whole family, hence the launch of our Crowdfunding campaign.

We are extremely grateful to the BBC Children In Need Appeal for their support of our work.
