In Memory of Judy Rambridge

Judy died unexpectedly on holiday in Sri Lanka on 2nd April 2020. She was Secretary of Parish Reps in Bromley and one of our most loyal and steadfast supporters.

Anna Khan, Welcare’s CEO, wrote the following:

Energetic, enthusiastic and efficient – these are the three words which spring to mind when I think of Judy. Indeed the last time I saw her was at The Glades shopping centre in December, when we had finished an evening of carol singing. As usual, Judy had been co-ordinating the music and arrangements, and making plans for 2020 which included the Annual Service of Thanksgiving at Bromley Parish Church. Judy, pictured above cheering #TeamWelcare alongside our staff in the Asics London 10k 2018, never stopped working to support Welcare, and she was always one of the first people I would consult if I needed help or advice on anything concerning our church supporters in Bromley.

Judy will be hugely missed by her friends and family, and by everyone at Welcare. I hope we can celebrate her life and faith at her beloved St Mary’s Shortlands in the coming months.

We are very grateful to Alison Kay for kindly agreeing to take on the role of Secretary of Parish Reps for Bromley.  The Parish Reps maintain the vital link between the individual parish churches in Bromley, Beckenham and Orpington and our work throughout the borough.
