Welcare has recently secured funding from the Youth Endowment Fund Covid-19 grant. This is to facilitate work with families referred to us by Lambeth Children, Youth and Family Services, in conjunction with Lambeth Youth Offending Service, supporting young people and their families who have a child or sibling already in the criminal justice system or at severe risk of being so.

Our social worker manager, Barbara Wilson has been working over the summer with children and families anxious about the return to school. Given the unprecedented circumstances this year has brought and five months away from the routine of school attendance Welcare staff have had to work differently to continue to work with families and children who are most in need.
