Tooting Locality Early Years Team
The Tooting Locality Early Years Team offers family support and parental involvement opportunities.
Family support includes practical and emotional support, advice and information. We can help parents and carers to, for example:
- access services in the local community
- manage difficulties and worries they may have about their child or children
- manage finances or budgets
- make healthy eating choices and develop routines
- make and keep appointments (e.g. solicitors, health centres, citizens advice bureau)
- attend parenting courses and drop-in sessions
- address issues such as domestic violence, post-natal depression, low self esteem and isolation.
Referrals to our family support services are made by social care professionals using a Common Assessment Framework (CAF). Assessments are discussed at the early years multi-agency planning team meetings, which are attended by parents/carers.
Our parental involvement manager provides a range of education, childcare, health and family support services covering the Tooting area.
These services which can be accessed by anyone in the community. They provide support and encourage all parents and carers of children under five to make use of services available in the Tooting area.
