Domestic abuse recovery

Road to Recovery is a 12-week course designed for women who wish to move on from their experiences of domestic abuse.

It enables women to recover psychologically and emotionally from the trauma of domestic violence by exploring their beliefs and thought patterns – both about relationships and about themselves.

Road to Recovery offers a ‘how to’ approach, exploring practical techniques, healthy beliefs and thought patterns in order to enable women to move forward rather than repeat events of the past.

It links well with the Every Child Matters agenda and addresses all five key areas.

Road to Recovery enables the women to be psychologically and emotionally safe, as well as physically safe.

It encourages women to focus on their emotionally healthy relationships and physical wellbeing for themselves and their children.
