At Welcare's Centre in Richmond we provide supportive and creative opportunities for children, families and young people incorporating emotional and practical support.
Through the centre and our outreach work we reach people who are hard to engage in other settings.
Grandparents Support Group
For Grandparents involved in childcare, for those who are bringing up grandchildren and for grandparents who would like to find ways to stay in contact with their grandchildren. Welcare works with grandparents to provide support and advice about local services and to develop resources theat enables them to communicate their values and childhood experiences to their grandchildren. This group runs on Wednesdays from 10:30 until 12:00.
A great opportunity for grandparents to support each other and to enjoy quality time with their grandchildren
Local Parents Coffee Morning
Local parents whose children are between the ages of 0-18 , local parents who feel isolated who want to share their experiences to enrich other parents lives are invited to come along on Tuesday mornings from 11:00 until 12:30. Humpty Dumpty Crawlers Club
For babies and pre-walkers, for parents whose babies have English as a second language and who would like to learn nursery rhymes, Humpty Dumpty Crawlers Club is for children to enjoy songs and sensory play. This service runs on Thursday afternoons from 14:30 until 16:30.
Community Group for 5-10 year-olds
A twelve-week programme for children who have experienced domestic violence, providing a setting in which to share their experiences. This service runs fortnightly on Tuesday afternoons from 15:45 until 16:45.
