Welcare in East Surrey

Welcare in East Surrey is one of eight centres run by Welcare. We are also the Sure Start Children’s Centre for Redhill – providing information, advice and services for children under 5 and their families.

We offer services to families with at least one child under seven or expecting a baby living within East Surrey (Reigate & Banstead Borough and Tandridge District).

Family support includes direct work with children and families, particularly managing children’s behaviour, play and practical support.

Parenting programmes follow the Family Links Parenting Puzzle programme. We also run a variety of groups and topic-based workshops including budgeting, personal development and planning for the future.

We also run groups for mothers, fathers and children, young parents and childminders. Our Buddy Scheme provides support for parents with a learning disability.

Our practical support for families include emergency food parcels, recycled clothes and nursery equipment. We also offer free legal advice.

Merstham Community Playlinks offers a toy library, play sessions and activities for young parents.

A free crèche is available for children under five whose parents are using our services.
